Cities That Dream Too Loud (2022) is a series of AI-generated images made with DALL·E 2 in 2022, during an early moment of public generative image-making. The works imagine cities that have become too saturated with memory, spectacle and machinery, where amusement parks, industrial systems, robots and architecture collapse into unstable urban organisms.

Rather than using AI to produce realism, the series treats it as a machine for spatial hallucination. Each image appears as a city dreaming beyond control: excessive, seductive, childish, mechanical and slightly broken. The work reflects my interest in cinematic worldbuilding and architecture as psychological space, while also documenting the strange visual language of early generative AI — a moment when images seemed to build impossible worlds faster than they could understand them.
